3 SHORT OPERAS ABOUT LOVE

Synopses:

“Toxic X” - A couple out on a date has a puzzling encounter with the physical embodiment of the last nine relationships of one of them. What will happen when someone has to compare their past with the future they are hoping for?

“Orpheus Orders a Coffee” - The famed subject of hundreds of operas reaches a breaking point when approached by an upstart composer.

“The Hippo; or, Questions of Love and Mating in Modern Culture...” - Two young large animal veterinarians in love debate whether to take their relationship to the next level, but are put in their place by a drugged up, talking, hippo.

All three of these short operas somehow deal with aspects of love, or relationships, which was not something I had planned while writing them, but I suppose themes do appear subconsciously in a creative artist's work even if they don't mean for it to happen. So, here we have three atypical looks at love.
